Bequests

The children and families of Duchenne Foundation who benefit from our research programs are very grateful for the generosity of individuals bequeathing funds to the Duchenne Foundation.

Bequests to the Duchenne Foundation may encompass a number of different areas, you can help by:

Allocating a specific amount of money, a percentage or items in your will
Bequeathing a house or land
Nominating the foundation as a beneficiary to an insurance policy, designate 'all the rest and residue of my estate'
Establishing a trust fund whereby a principle sum is invested, with the interest earned being donated to the organisation

The Duchenne Foundation provides legal organisations with the following suggested bequest clauses:

'I give to Duchenne Foundation Limited ABN 33 129 339 920 the sum of X Dollars ($) for its general purposes (or a specific location) free from all duties and taxes payable upon or in connection with my death. I declare that the issue of a receipt by Duchenne Foundation to my executors by the Chief Executive Office, Treasurer or other authorised officer of Duchenne Foundation will form an adequate discharge of the responsibilities of my executors'.

'I give, devise and bequeath the rest and residue of my estate to Duchenne Foundation ABN 33 129 339 920 for its general purposes (or a specific location) and I declare that the issue of a receipt by Duchenne Foundation to my executors by the Chief Executive Officer, Treasurer or other authorised officer of Duchenne Foundation will form an adequate discharge of the responsibilities of my executors'.
