How To Help
Fundraising
Fundraising is vital to ensure we can fund the research that can make a real difference to the lives of our boys. After all, everyone deserves to play! Wherever you fundraise it will build morale and teamwork and we always want you to capture the playful spirit of the Blue Ball while raising funds.
You can raise money for the Duchenne Foundation anywhere at all - at school, at work, at your club or playing sport. It's easy to do and there are lots of fun things you can do to support our boys.
We are always looking for new and innovative ideas but here are some examples to get you started:- Initiate a Payroll deduction scheme at your workplace
- Host a Blue Ball day at work, where everyone dresses up in blue
- Host a Blue Ball morning tea / lunch - with all food based around a blue theme
- Host a Trivia or Comedy night
- Have a competition with an entry fee - eg. Guess the number of blue balls in the jar
- Organise a sponsored Blue Ball throwing / catching event
- Organise a community based Blue Ball game
- Host a Blue Ball / Dinner Dance with fundraising activities
To get started please contact our Duchenne Foundation office on Freecall 1300 70 60 89 or email info@blueball.org.au. We will send you a copy of our Fundraising Guidelines and a Registration Form that will form the basis of our relationship together. We ask that you read, understand and complete the forms and return them to us. We will then be able to issue you a sanction letter for your event.
We are always happy to provide advice and assistance where needed in order to ensure your fundraising event is successful and fun because Everyone Deserves to Play!
